Crocheted Flower Headband

THIS crocheted flower headband by Creative Yarn was a quick and simple project.
Perfect for beginners to tackle.

Really dresses up that messy ponytail look.

Which is pretty much all I ever do with my hair.

So, if you're brave enough to wear a giant doily flower on your head...

Felt Cowgirl Vest

How could I resist. When MADE featured THIS felt vest I had to adapt it for the girls.

I made this one first.
Used a friend's puffy vest as a pattern.
It turned out nice and loose, perfect for getting on and off.
Nice and comfy for lil' girls who expect nothing less.

I decided to try a couple of new things with the next.
It is a little more fitted, and flares at the bottom.
Perfect for showing of cute lil' bellies.

The girls love them.
Can't wait to see all of the adventures we have this summer in them.

Ready for an adventure of your own?

Go ahead.

Yellow and Grey Card

Or is it Yellow and Gray?

What ever way you spell it I LOVE it. Can't get enough.
If I had an endless budget I would redecorate everything in Yellow and Grey.
Okay, maybe not everything... but you catch my drift.

So, it is what inspired this clean & simple card design.
I have seen elaborate cards that are to-die-for cute.
But sometimes it is nice to have something simple {and flat}
that you can make and mail out in a jiff.

Have something to be grateful for?
I know I do.

Lil' Crafters: Cupcake Flower Pot

This past weekend Michael's had a free craft at their stores.
I love helping my lil' mini get excited about crafting.

This month was a cute idea. Turning a flower pot into a cupcake. {LOVE it!}
The frosting is the fake snow flocking covered in glamour dust
(the picture doesn't allow for the full cuteness factor)

The pot itself is painted with acrylics.
{props on the colors Michael's}

She was pretty proud of her work.

Okay lil' kiddos, go get your mommies and...

Washcloth Puppets

We love bath time at our house, so when I saw my friend making THESE
I had to get the pattern.

Top: zebra, dog (Clifford to be precise)
Bottom: hippo, giraffe, dragon

They were so fun and simple to make.
Each one takes about two washcloths to make and when you can get an 18 pack for $4 at Walmart you can make as many as you want.

The girls were delighted with them.

Although after I finished the dragon Sarah informed me that it needed to have
"angry eyes"
Angry enough?

I guess it makes it better for doing dragon things like...
eating your little sister.

Whatever the purpose they sure will be fun to splash around in the tub with.

Tempting?
Go on.

Snuggly Owls

I have been in love with THESE owls at Target.
Have you seen them?

Well a while back one of my crafter-idols did a tutorial HERE on how to make one.

So, here is how mine turned out.
Don't you want to just pick it up and love it?

I decided it would be cute to make a littler one as well, so I printed the pattern 75% to scale and made this little guy.

Oh, they are just too cute.
How could I not make them?
Don't you love how they look at each other... and I guess when they are mad the could look away from each other too

My girls love them.

Perfect for snuggling.

And lounging on the floor.

Copying is fun, so go on and give it a try.

I'm new at this

I don't know why I feel so weird about this.

Um, hello?... my name is Liz, Lizzie, Lizo, Lizbeth, I pretty much respond to anything, and I am... a copycat.
*hangs head in shame*
A copycat crafter.
*sobs*
Wow, feel like I'm at an AA meeting... not that I know what that is like. *cough* *cough*
Ahem, anyway. I'll just get to it.

I love to create.
I've been getting more and more into it and have decided to post my creations here
(to save my family from seeing all of my lame projects)

The End.

Oh, I love feed back. And new ideas too. So do share.

The {real} End

Too abrupt? I'll work on it.
